A Framework for mHealth App Security & Privacy Analysis

In this project, Ubitrix has developed a new framework to analyze whether mHealth apps are HIPAA technical security and privacy compliant to proactively identify potential data breach risks. Using static and dynamic analysis techniques, our framework detects security and privacy violations within source code implementation of mHealth apps. HipaaChecker is also available as an Android Studio plugin tool for mHealth app developers to fix security and privacy risks before offering new mHealth apps for the marketplace.

This project is funded by NIH-STTR phase 1 and and Center for Technology Commercialization(CTC), Wisconsin, USA.
